Merge Blast 2048 is a free puzzle game for Android where you tap groups of matching numbers to merge them into bigger tiles. Each level gives you a target, and you clear it by building a tile with that number. Level 1 asks for 256.

How to play
The board has 5 columns and 8 rows and is always full of tiles. To make a move, tap any tile that touches at least one tile with the same number (up, down, left or right). The whole connected group of matching tiles merges into the tile you tapped. If the tile you tap has no matching neighbour, nothing merges.
After a merge, the tiles above fall down and new tiles drop in from the top to fill the board.
How big does the new tile get?
The size of the group decides the result. The tile you tapped is multiplied by the smallest power of two that is at least the size of the group:
- 2 tiles: the value doubles (8 + 8 gives 16).
- 3 or 4 tiles: the value is multiplied by 4 (three 8s give 32).
- 5 to 8 tiles: the value is multiplied by 8 (five 8s give 64).
- And so on for bigger groups.
